On Sept. 6, 2018, the National Solar Observatory in New Mexico was evacuated along with a nearby United States Postal Service office for unexplained ‘security reasons.’
Otero County Sheriff Benny House said the Otero County Sheriff’s Office was asked to standby.
“The FBI is refusing to tell us what’s going on,” House said. “We’ve got people up there (at Sunspot) that requested us to standby while they evacuate it. Nobody would really elaborate on any of the circumstances as to why. The FBI was up there. What their purpose was nobody will say.”
House indicated that the FBI is keeping the police in the dark.
“But for the FBI to get involved that quick and be so secretive about it, there was a lot of stuff going on up there,” House said. “There was a Blackhawk helicopter, a bunch of people around antennas and work crews on towers but nobody would tell us anything.”
Update 9/17/2018: Sunspot Observatory to reopen Monday following security investigation
“According to AURA, the observatory was closed due to an investigation into possible criminal activity at the site.
The residents that vacated their homes will be returning to the site, and all employees will return to work this week, the release stated.
“In light of recent developments in the investigation, we have determined there is no risk to staff, and Sunspot Solar Observatory is transitioning back to regular operations as of September 17th,” the news release stated.”

NASA SOHO observatory shut down for several weeks due to updates needed.
Around the same time the New Mexico Observatory was seized, Zero Hedge notes that 6 other observatories/webcams across the planet also went offline.

- Webcam at JAT Observatory in Fairless Hills, Pennsylvania
Secureteam also discovered a number of webcams going offline around the same time the New Mexico Observatory was seized.
Update 9/15/2018: Some of these webcams/observatories listed above have been offline long before the New Mexico Observatory was seized, or were only offline temporarily. Numerous other webcams/observatories have been reported being offline since this was published. As to when and if they are at all related to the New Mexico Observatory has yet to be determined, but I will update accordingly. If anyone has new information, please comment below.
NASA Records 2 Lunar Transits. Admits It’s Impossible
On Sept. 9, 2018, NASA’s Solar Dynamics Observatory (SDO) saw two lunar transits as the Moon passed in front of the Sun.
“A transit happens when a celestial body passes between a larger body and an observer. This first lunar transit lasted one hour, from 4:30 pm to 5:30 p.m. EDT and obscured 92 percent of the Sun at the peak of its journey. The second transit happened several hours later at 9:52 p.m. and lasted a total of 49 minutes, ending at 10:41 p.m. EDT. This transit only obscured 34 percent of the Sun at its peak.”
The Moon does not, of course, actually change direction, but it appears to do so from SDO’s perspective based on the fact that the spacecraft’s orbit essentially catches up and passes the Moon during the first transit.

Update 9/28/18: This image was taken by NASA’s helioviewer on Sept. 6th, the same day New Mexico Observatory was shut down. An extremely large object appears at 09:18:10 and remains until 09:30:07.

Update 9/17/2018: It is important to note that Gina is refusing to have her equipment/photos analyzed to verify authenticity. Nightowl Skywatcher has been able to replicate these photos in their home. Could they be fake? Absolutely, however, there is a lot more evidence of movement around the Sun and within our solar system provided below.

Other Possible Reasons For Shut Down:
Zero Hedge also reports that: “the observatory is closed just as a massive hole has opened up in the Sun’s corona, which means we’re officially on watch for a geomagnetic storm.”
The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) has issued a storm watch for a G2-level solar storm on September 11.
Another theory that has begun to circulate is that a foreign agent, China or Russia, hacked one of the antennae in order to monitor the White Sands Missile Range. It is technically one of the largest and most secretive Army bases in the US, known for testing newly developed weapons.
