Scotch whisky has entered the realm as Johnnie Walker announce their new limited-edition scotch whisky, based on the Game of Thrones famous White Walker characters.
In collaboration with Game of Thrones and HBO, one of the world’s most famous whisky brands has launched a scotch whisky that has been inspired by the mysterious and obscure series characters, the White Walkers. Created by a small blending team striving to show originality and innovation the whisky is to be served chilled, to achieve the presence of the White Walkers.
The White Walker are led by the Night King. The undead army with their icy blue eyes emerged from the frozen land North of the wall.
The bottle design portrays the land North of the wall and even the striding man logo is dressed to fit in the Night King’s army.
It has been released as fans of the popular series wait to see the final season.
There is an extra surprise for drinkers as an extra graphic appears on the bottle when it reaches freezing temperatures. A reminder that ‘Winter is Here’ created using temperature sensitive ink technology.
Using two of Scotland’s Northern distilleries of Clynelish and Cardhu the blended scotch holds notes of vanilla, caramelised sugar, red berries and a hint of orchard fruits.
Blender George Harper said: “Whiskies from Clynelish have endured long, Scottish winters, not dissimilar to the long periods endured by the Night’s Watch who have ventured north of the wall – so it was the perfect place to start when creating this unique whisky.”
The White Walker whisky from Johnnie Walker will be available globally from October 2018 whilst stocks last.
