At the start of every new year we often reflect on the year that’s just passed and think back to all the wonderful things that we managed to do, and then think of all the wonderful things that we want to do this year.

If travel is not on your 2018 list, let me tell you why it should be.

Why should 2018 be your year of traveling?

First off, I’ll start with social media. If you are stuck for travel inspiration you need to go on to Instagram. Within 30 seconds of browsing through travel hashtags, you’ll have seen gorgeous pictures from Asia to Africa and back to Europe. There is no excuse in this day and age to be stuck for a destination to travel to. All you have to do is type any place that comes to mind and you are guaranteed to see some delightful first-hand experience travel pictures. If this doesn’t get your travel envy going then I don’t know what will.

Secondly, with travel becoming so trendy in 2018 there is an endless array of beautifully designed travel websites online offering advice on how to find the cheapest flights and hotels and even some offering advice on how to bag yourself a free hotel stay. So although travel isn’t free, it’s cheaper than it has ever been if you are willing to spend a few hours researching online.

Thirdly, there are endless opportunities now to work online whilst you travel. So this relieves some of the stress of having to save before you set off. You can pick up an online job in anything from writing to virtual admin work and even customer care. You can do this at your own leisure depending on the job description allowing you the freedom to travel and work at the same time.

Lastly, tomorrow is never guaranteed. You don’t know what’s around the corner so if travel is something you are interested in, just do it. Make 2018 be your year of travel and making memories!
