Without preamble, the easiest way to have more fun is to love yourself, and yet this’s been turned into such a complex concept, when in fact it’s a literal expression, “Love Yourself!” Just like how you’d love anyone else, and as we all love differently, your form of self-love will also be different. A quick and easy way to know your style of love is to look at how you love your children, your partner, your parents, treat yourself as you treat them, and have fun doing it.
Be more encouraging and take it easy with your self-depreciating monologue, life is tough enough without you stealing your own peace of mind.
Your to-do list is never-ending. Make sure you have a cut off time and make it special by arranging to do something you enjoy when you clock off.
Do something that you’ve always wanted to do. Book that dream holiday, or that Zumba class, or ask the cute guy out on a date. Get your adrenaline going and your giggles on.
Self-improvement can sometimes feel more like punishment. Stop it! Take a break or cut back, it’s not meant to add stress. Replace it with something fun, whatever you want.
Be present in everything you do, live your life in the moment as opposed to the future. Magically, this transforms your experience into a much more enjoyable one.
Surround yourself with people who lift you, love you and want the best for you. They’ll reflect that at you, and let’s face it, who doesn’t want that?
Set daily challenges; mental, physical, creative, or whatever turns you on, but do something that you find joy in.
The point is to fill your life with as many things as you can which give you joy. It’s time to step out of your comfort zone and know that you deserve your love more than anyone else. It’s time for you to bring your attention to the current state of your relationship with yourself and stop the cycle of self-abuse through self-oppression.
As always, please share.
