Going on your first date? Pick the right outfit!

He has finally asked you out! Choosing the right outfit is paramount.

Some advice for you: Think about what your outfit says about yourself

Pick something that says “I like you but I can also live without you”.

Stay close to what you were wearing when you first met him

If you were smoking hot don’t show up as if you’re going to a Zumba lesson.

Find out where you’re going on a date

Finding out what kind of place you’re going it’s helpful to choose your outfit. You don’t want to end up in the fanciest restaurant in your sneakers or wearing stilettos for a romantic walk on the beach.

Check the weather

Freezing to death in your brand-new strapless dress won’t be the best first date.

Focus on your strong points

You know yourself, try to highlight your best parts.

If you don’t have the best legs on the market, try to avoid a mini-skirt.

Go shopping

What better excuse?

No kidding, multiple studies have shown that what you wear affects your performance.

And what we want is an outstanding performance!

Comfort is overrated

On your first date you NEED to look FANTASTIC. No one looks fantastic in comfortable clothes.

I’m not saying that you have to show up like Jessica Rabbit but… please no to pajama style pants and completely flat shoes.

Dress to feel confident

Be true to yourself: don’t wear a beautiful dress if you don’t feel comfortable in it.

Try to wear a style or colour that you are often complimented on.

Leave something for later

Try to balance it out: if you are showing your legs try to cover your chest.

It’s up to you, choose your best item to show. But show only that.

Men like to discover by themselves.

Accessories

Highlight your strengths using them strategically. But be careful to not overdo it.

Be ready

The worst is when you go to put on your favourite dress only to find out it needs ironing.
