If you have a Facebook page for your blog or business, it’s not always easy to find the perfect content to share with your followers.

Whether you have set up your Facebook page to promote your business, to drive traffic to your blog or to raise awareness for a cause, your main goal is to get lots of followers and page likes, and even more importantly, to create an active and engaged community.

In order to achieve this goal, you need to share interesting and engaging content.

But that’s not always an easy task!

I recently had Sandrine from Blogging Apprentice,  who has been working as a virtual assistant and social media manager for years, guest post on my blog to give actionable tips on where to find engaging content for your Facebook page.

Surprisingly, you don’t really need to be original to go viral!

On the contrary, one of the best ways to get engagement, it’s to share content from elsewhere on Facebook and/or from other similar pages.

Use the search bar to look for particular content; if you choose videos that have lots of views already, Facebook regards this as popular content and will often give the post a higher reach.

When you find pages which share similar content to your own page’s, make sure to like the page “as your page”. That way they’ll be easier to follow, but also doing that signals to Facebook that your pages are related somehow – and if you also share their content, Facebook might suggest your page to the followers of the other pages.

Share their most successful posts. Not only is that good for your page as Facebook will give this popular content a higher reach, but you’ll also build a relationship with the other page, and they might want to share some of your content as well. Win-win!

So, don’t be shy, go and share popular content from other pages! Your followers will love it!

And if you want to learn more about the types of content you can post on your page and where to find it, you can read Sandrine’s full post here
