The Associated Press Top 25 was released Tuesday with interesting changes and even surprises heading into Week 2 of the College Football Season.

No. 1 Alabama retained the top spot, garnering 60 first-place votes, after a 24-7 win over then-third ranked Florida State, while Ohio State remained at #2 after a 49-21 road win over Indiana last Thursday. Clemson and Penn State round out the top 4 after both teams recorded dominating wins over Kent State and Akron respectively.

Florida State saw the biggest drop in the AP Top 25, falling seven spots to #10 after losing to the Crimson Tide. To make matters worse, the Seminoles lost their starting quarterback, Deondre Francois for the season to a left knee injury. Florida fell from #17 to #22 in the poll after a 33-17 loss to Michigan, where the Gators offense looked truly abysmal.

The biggest risers in the poll include #8 Michigan, #18 Virginia Tech, and #20 Washington State. Michigan moves up after their aforementioned win over Florida, and the Hokies for their win over West Virginia, who is now outside of the Top 25.

#20 Washington State climbs four spots in the poll after a dominant, shutout win over Montana State. #23 TCU joins the poll after a beatdown of Jackson State, and #24 Notre Dame enters after an easy 49-16 win over Temple.

Watch for more movement this week, starting at the top as #2 Ohio State and #5 Oklahoma meet in Columbus as ESPN’s pick for “College Gameday” this week. Elsewhere, #3 Clemson will host #13 Auburn, #6 USC will host #14 Stanford in a Pac-12 showdown, and #15 Georgia heads to South Bend for a tough road game with #24 Notre Dame.
